B&B Letter v email.
Not so long ago to book a B&B or guest house you would need to buy a tourist guide or pick up a leaflet that advertised properties in the county you wanted to visit. Do you remember picking one up from a Little Chef restaurant or perhaps a tourist information office? There also used to be pages of properties advertised in the newspapers, particularly at the weekend. After searching through the adverts you would normally telephone or even write a letter and ask if they had availability, and if yes you would send a deposit cheque and await confirmation of your booking by letter, which often took at least a week! Very little information was given and hardly any directions, how on earth did we ever manage without sat nav and google?! How things have changed.
These days you simply type your chosen destination, anywhere in the world you wish to visit, in to your device and at your fingertips in seconds are more properties than you can shake a stick at! Much easier and much quicker than snail mail. Information, reviews, images, maps, all there to help you to book.
Here's a tip, e-mail your chosen B&B direct (say Quiet Woman House for example) and get a commission free rate, better than waiting a week for a letter!! Score 1 to the email, it's a modern world!
